Sebastian Giovinco is expected to join Toronto FC earlier than expected since his contract with Juventus has just expired. He has already been assigned Designated Player and this will allow Head coach Greg Vanney has enough time to build a team around him before their season opener. The team is facing at least six straight away games and Giovinco will really come in handy. Meanwhile, the team has to balance its team by finding a way to lay off Brazilian striker Gilberto as he has no proper place in the team. The preseason match against Montverde Academy brought some tactical problems to their eyes despite the fact that they won 4-2. This is because their opponents were deemed far worse than them and conceding two goals was not the way to go. The new strike Jozy Altidore may be under pressure to perform especially after the team lost Gilberto. A strong input was observed from the first timer Jordan Hamilton during the preseason camp and he is expected to make it to the main roster.

High Expectations

Robbie Findley is expected to match well with Luke Moore this season hence generate goals though last season saw Findley loss his finishing touch. Damien Perquis is expected to add stability to the central defense alongside veteran Benoit Cheyrou and Michael Bradley. The team has also lost midfielder Dominic Oduro to Montreal. Though disposable, the player is one of the most experienced strikers in MLS. This deal only when through because the team figured acquiring financial assets to continue strengthening their team was a better idea.
