Training is underway for the San Jose Earthquakes in Arizona as they get ready for the pre-season and regular season matches and the pressure is mounting. The team head coach Dominic Kinnear insists that the move to sign Innocent Emaghara is not just about trying to fill up the team’s positions but to build the team. After dismally performance last season, the team looks to make use of the speed and strength of Innocent Emaghara in the forward position. The team is currently ranked 9th in the Western Conference and focus is on what position they will be at the close of the season.

San Jose Earthquakes kick off the season with matches against the a ready opponent FC Dallas away and the team is expected to kick start coach Dominic Kinnear’s era on high note and a win should be non-optional in this match. Next weekend, the team travels to Seattle to faceoff Sounders FC before making a return home to Avaya Stadium where they will play Chicago Fire. The annual rivalry with LA Galaxy is scheduled for June 27 at Stanford Stadium and that is one game worth watching.

San Jose Earthquakes seems to have a favorable schedule this season after being scheduled to play eight out of the 13 games expected at home. With the league expansion of MLS Cup playoffs from 10 to 12 teams, The Earthquakes should tighten their game to make an appearance and if possible get the cup altogether. The season looks pretty interesting and the Earthquakes certainly is a team to watch out for.
