The 2015 MLS schedule is out in full and Real Salt Lake looks to have an interesting season ahead. Following a very successful season in 2013 when the team played the MLS Cup final against Sporting Kansas City in which they unfortunately lost, the team is expected to uphold the good performance in their matches.

RSL opens the season facing Portland Timbers in Mar 7 at the Providence Park and next will be their home campaigns where they will face Philadelphia Union and Toronto FC at Rio Tinto Stadium. The team is already set and already reported to the training camp working on the new formation.

According to Coach Jeff Cassar, the team is ready and very optimistic this new season despite the departure of team veterans Chris Wingert, Ned Grabavoy and Nat Borchers and the general manager Garth Lagerway. Also, in the squad, Justen Glad the defender will be on the bench following what is termed as unfit form  until just about March or April, Gil and Nick Rimando also will be missing in the early games of the season following their commitments to the US National Team. The head coach still insists that the lineup will have no difficulties in to the season despite the conspicuous rearrangements. The team has, however, reacted to the lineup disruptions optimistically as a challenge for building a future flexible team.

It will be very interesting to follow up just how the team executes the expected possession tactics, unlike the midfield formation that was the signature of the team in the previous seasons.
