One of the professional ice hockey team competing for the title in the Eastern Conference under Metropolitan Division of the national Hockey League is the New York Islanders. The team have been incepted in 1972. They have been granted the privilege to play home games in Nassau veterans Memorial Coliseum. The islanders are also known for its nemesis with the New York Rangers which was dubbed as the battle of NY.
The New Yorks Islanders had been sacksful y in winning 4 consecutive Stanley cup titles that is from 1980-1983. Furthermore, the team is the 7th of the 8 distinct dynasties by the National Hockey League.
