Pittsburgh Penguins

Have you been in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania? If so, you might have heard about the famous ice hockey team of the religion. They are the Pittsburgh Penguins. As other professional ice hockey teams have their respective division, the Penguins belong to the Metropolitan Division. If you are an avid fan of the Penguins and you are following every single detail about them, you would surely know the team has been founded in 1967. They are also included in the first expansion of teams for the NHL original Six that was from 6 to 12 teams. If you wanted to get to watch the games of the Penguins before, you might have always gone to Civic Arena or more popularly known for its name, the Igloo.

However they were already relocated into their new home and that is the Consol Energy Center prior to the beginning of the National hockey league 20010-2011 season. As a highly offensive team, they   qualified for 4 Stanley Cup finals with a victory of three championships. They have won the Staley Cup consecutive for two years in 1991 and1992 and their last victory so far was on 2009. Meanwhile, NHL pirates were the original team of the Pittsburgh. Brilliant minds have campaigned to the establishment of that Pittsburgh penguin.

The formal awarding of the Pittsburgh Penguins for being the expansion team was conducted on the eight day of February 1966. The team has started their season with a victory of road games prior to a season. In fact, the penguins succeeded in landing 2nd place for the second succeeding years in which they have lost over the New Jersey. Apparently, the penguins were given the privilege to join in the Consol Energy Center for their first games. The flyers have swept them though this marks them to thrive for future NHL games.
