D.C. United is following rather a different trend unlike other team in the MLS. Whereas others are considering fetching talent from overseas, the team has managed to look into local talent thus not changing their roster. This could be attributed to the fact that D.C. United has had one of the best seasons ever making those big moves without big paychecks.

Transitions in the Team A

Newcomers were integrated to the team as it opened its training camp. Considerations on getting world class players have since been put away until new revenue channels open up. However, the team has taken a taste in international market by signing in Markus Halsti from Finland and Jairo Arrieta from Costa Rica. Joe Wills, Lewis Neal and Jeff Parke left the squad. The team will start off its preseason with a tester by visiting Montreal and FC Dallas. Players like Pontius are eager for this season considering he missed almost the whole of last season due to injuries. Amidst all that, there are some rumors about Inter Milan players joining D.C. United though details of the same have not been disclosed. Statistics shown that perhaps Fabian Espindola was the best player for D.C. United and it is just time to get rewarded as he has been checked in as the team’s Designated Player considering he had a total best of 11 goals and nine assists.
