2015 marks Chicago Fire’s 18th season in MLS. The team current squad looks really composed especially with the addition of new players including Guly do Prado and Shaun Maloney from Southampton and Wigan Athletic respectively among other new signings. Later in mid-January the team announced yet another addition to the squad with Matt Polster, a flexible player capable of handling the midfield and center back positions in his first pro contract.

The team kicks off the season on a rather interesting match against the defending MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy at the StubHub Center on Mar 6 before they return home to face Whitecaps FC on Mar 14. They are scheduled to face six Eastern Conference opponents with three of the matches at home in Toyota Park against New England Revolution, NY Red Bulls and Orlando City. In their away matches against the Eastern Conference opponents the team will be on the road to face Columbus Crew SC, DC United and the Montreal Impact twice this season.

The team faces the Western Conference opponents once over the course of the season, where they will host Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, Real Salt Lake, Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Toyota Park and they will be on the road to face Houston Dynamo, LA Galaxy, Portland Timbers, San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting Kansas City.

The March 15 match against the New York City FC at Toyota Park will be a first ever match in history and similarly the match against Orlando City on June 6 is also a first time meet all of which will be home matches for the Chicago Fire. That should be an easy run hopefully for the team.
